Wall Street Welfare

Here we go again. A few wealthy guys and some politicians get together and pass some legislation that will help General Motors and help a few politicians with their campaign financing next election.

Most of our US Representatives could care less about this this country. I am praying that we have a few that do care but with legislation like this, it is just proof that most could care less. No different than Wall Street. Greed. No concern for others. No concern for fairness or correctness.

We have Republicans that preach about individual responsibility and less regulation. Here we are today with the biggest example of Wall Street Welfare the globe has ever seen and this morning I get to read about a PHEV tax credit that is geared to artificially drive sales towards General Motors!!! Are you fucking kidding me? Why in the hell do the tax payers and the government think it is a good idea to help out GM. Republicans preach about letting the market work itself out? Well it has and the japanese manufacturers are winning. They are the ones helping out commuters in need. Not GM. Not Ford. So here is another example of our Government coming to the rescue. Our politicians put on their capes and fly into GM's headquarters and say "No Fear GM, we are here to save you and to thank you for all your campaign donations" Although you have been producing garbage for decades and ignoring the advice of consultant after consultant we think we owe it you to help you drive sales of a hybrid that has never even been tested by a single consumer.

Greed and lack of concern for anyone is what this PHEV tax credit demonstrates.

General Motors does not deserve help. General Motors does not deserve a tax break that favors the Chevy Volt over the competitions hybrids.

The Government should be focused on one thing only. Less demand on gasoline and less pollution. What the fuck does battery capacity have to do with the value of a tax credit!!!! I am happy we are talking about a PHEV tax credit but it shouldn't matter as long as it gets 50+ Miles per gallon and doesn't pollute more than a standard vehicle.

This is such bullshit and we keep getting this bullshit handed over from the white house drive thru.

What in the world has GM done right in the past 30 years? We don't need to help sell their crappie products. We don't need to create artificial demand for their junk cars and trucks. Let the market decide who makes the most reliable and efficient Hybrid.

Today another Ford executive makes a stupid decision and talks about it with the press. Alan R. Mulally should be playing golf and making bad decisions about which iron to pick out of his bag when 95 yards away from the pin.

These guys could not find there way out of maze at Chuckie Cheeses.

I am so sick and tired of getting bent over by the oil tycoons and auto manufacturers. What is up with this blatant disregard for the American population.

Ford deserves to go out of business. They deserve to lose to smarter manufacturers.

I cannot believe Ford and GM are crying about this money from our tax dollars and make ridiculous decisions like this with respect to selling the 65 MPG Ford Fiesta here in North America and South America.

To get a new Toyota Prius you have to put your name on the waiting list at your local Toyota dealer and it only gets 47 MPG. This Ford Fiesta gets 65 MPG. 18 more miles per gallon. That is a tremendous advantage over the Prius! WTF

I am so sick and tired of the lies and deceit.

Please Mr. Alan R. Mulally and Mark Fields, do us all a favor and go retire. Why don't you just stop screwing our country and our planet by making stupid decisions. You guys are disgusting. Your children and family should be ashamed of you. If you have grand children they should learn to despise you over the next 20 - 30 years. What you are doing to them is a crime. You and the others should be prosecuted as criminals.

You do not deserve to be Americans. Capitalism and freedom do not include taking bribes and screwing over the rest of your fellow Americans.

Get rid of the unions. Get rid of the big trucks that don't get used as trucks. More people use their F150's to drive to the office than they do to haul anything. You have made it manly to drive a gas guzzling truck to the office and the only thing they are carrying in is a coffee cup and a cell phone.

Everyone needs to change. We all need to make changes and better decisions.

Stop making bad decisions.

What the hell is wrong with this over educated, under educated, and out of touch investor society we live in today....? Is this because of Etrade? Is this because of jerk offs at the top earning billions that are just out of touch and don't have a clue and truly believe that they cannot be wrong, a lot like the jerk off Donald Rumsfeld. People are not going to be driving around town. China is not going to be selling more cars. South Americans are not going to be building more roads for their new drivers? Why in the hell do they think oil is a safe place to move their money?

How can investors be so stupid and then stupid all over again? The economy is crashing and crashing hard. Who is going to be buying gas if nobody is going to work? Who is going to be buying gas to fuel their trucks and generators if nobody is building a thing?

How can these traders and investors be so unaware of normal supply and demand business rules. You don't invest in a commodity that is going to have less demand. Countries are going to need to generate revenue. Countries will be dropping their prices to sell oil in order to fund everything else.

These traders are simply setting us up for another crash...!!!!

Why is Google the only company that gives a shit? Where is Bill Gates and Microsoft. Where is Larry Ellison. Bill is out doing commercials with Jerry seinfeld and Larry is out sailing his boat with other billionaires that don't give a shit about our country or our planet.

What the hell is Warren Buffet's deal? This guy hardly ever takes a hard line with respect to our messed up government and the energy crisis. I don't care that he gave away his money to Bill and his wife. They are doing much to help the energy crisis or much at all to influence our government. What are they doing to ensure we don't get a hockey mom as our President? Why isn't everyone outraged?

Why is it that Google is the only company that has a concern for our future? Where is the rest of corporate americas super powerful and super rich?

They better get on the bus because if we don't get some change we are all going to be screwed more than we already are screwed.

I get so excited when I read more about Google's desire to make us more competitive and sustainable. At the same time I get so frustrated with the lack of participation from the rest of our corporate leaders to make things right. These are the same guys that will tell us all we need to work harder. We need to be more accountable. They need to be held accountable. We need change. We need better leadership. Yet these guys are not stepping up to the plate.

Thank you Google. Thank you GE. Eff you Warren, Bill, Larry, and the rest of you billionaires.

I just got done listening to an interview with Thomas Friedman on NPR.org

Thomas is hard on Barack Obama and John McCain. You cannot believe what McCain did not vote on 8 times in a row.

Neither of these candidates have dealt with the issues. We are talking more about the race and whether or not we drill for more oil. We are talking more about Sarah Palin than we are the real issues.

Our country is in trouble and the press is covering this election without forcing the candidates to answer questions once again.

We need to let high school students ask the questions.

Money talks and bullshit walks. Obama is going to lose this race if he doesn't stand up for alternative energy and national health care.

Sarah Palin has taken this race by storm.

Joseph Biden is nothing more than a life long politician. No better or different than John McCain.

McCain thinks war and battle is a way to resolve matters. He is too old and he spent way too long in the military.

Obama has spent way too long writing 50,000 page legal documents and learning how to speak and motivate.

We need change and neither of these spin doctors are proving to the country that they can bring about change.

I would bet that Sarah Palin does not know what PHEV stands for and I would also bet that Sarah Palin has no idea how to run a country or even a large publicly traded company.

The idea that Sarah Palin has enough experience to run a country is absolutely the most ridiculous idea this country has ever bought into since we all thought Georg Bush couldn't do anymore damage during his second term.

I am sick and tired of the working class republicans calling democrats educated elitists. Republicans have spent billions to convince the country that the most important issues in america are

1. Bring religion back to schools, even before we fix the curriculum or the number of kids that actually graduate high school.

2. That saving animals and land has put this country in a bad place.

3. A woman's right to choose is more important than all other issues, even though we have kids today that are abused and go without clean water or nutritional food or health care. But somehow its more important to talk about how sinful it is to abort a child. Yet the same people that stand out in front of abortion clinics can never be found feeding hungry children or protecting abused children. These people should have been aborted because they are a total waste of life and do nothing to make this country or planet a better place to live. These are the same idiots that will be quick to ship our kids off to Iraq or Vietnam to die in war.

We have real issues that did not get addressed under George Bush's team and he had 8 years.

No healthcare.
No affordable healthcare.
War does not work.
Oil is root of all evil but lets keep drilling and playing the oil game instead of playing a sustainable game....

John McCain is a war hero. He makes a living because he was in war and likes to use war to solve problems. These days are over. We are no longer in a world that can be managed by the strength of a countries military force. This guy is too old to even realize it that world is a different place and that these times have passed.

We cannot push people around just because we think they are wrong. We need to find creative solutions that make sense. John McCain does not know how to find creative solutions.
